Firmware 2.4 in action

I just found this a while ago and appearenly it's the test firmware for 2.4.

looks pretty cool to me. I wonder when we gettin it though.

Yes! Elaborate. that's what I meant. Sorry but I wasn't really thinking right. What's on N4G? I don't go to that site. Why would it be on a tuesday anyways? Because of MGS4? Maybe.

Yes! This may be the big suprise that Konami said they had for us.

It has everything to do with Konami. Konami is resposible for shoving their foot up Sony's a$$ to get in gear and add the trophy system that Konami was going to implement into MGS4 reguardless. This could be that Suprise the Konami Prez. was talking about or it could be something we still don't know about.

Atleast Sony is workin their asses off now. They will be lazy for teh rest of the summa though. I bet the trophies in MGS4 are for the emblems cuz my guide says nothing about teh trophies. Oh well.

Yeah from what I have heard, 70% of current PS3 games will support the Trophies, and any games being made currently have been sent the update info so all future games will support it.

Konami and Kojima himself have been pushing Sony to get the Trophy system done, because they were going to put it in MGS4 whether Sony had it done or not. So Sony has been pushing to get this done before MGS4, and it looks like we will get it June 10, along with wonderful, glorious in game XMB!

Well, when I heard that we where finally getting in game XMB I was thrilled, something that the other guys have had for what? A year or two now? I haven't read this thread through, so excuse me if this has been said, but I really want cross game chat. Oblivion would be all day for me then, being able to talk whilst playing... oooooooohhhhh great. Another thing that I heard, but its rumor, is that there also making the friends list bigger. So instead of 50, we would have 100. That would be really nice. In game soundtrack, yay. Not too thrilled about that one. I heard that the only way they could get around MS's bullcrap patent for it, was to make it to where it drowns out all other sounds in the game. So yeah, if that’s true, I may not be using that too much.

Eh. when did the Date June 10th mean anything? Did I miss something?

Here I am at 8:50, waiting on 12 O'clock, ready too see if this rumor is true. If it doesn't come out directly at 12, I won't be too sad. I have seen updates come out at 12 and updates come out later on in the day, either way, it’s going to be just like the MGO beta, I'm sure me and Jason will be in a chat. Anyway, lets all hope that it comes out.

It may not happen untill later in the day. WTF is thesuprize you guys keep talking about anyways??! I want to ******* know!

The surprise is Update 2.40 with full In-Game XMB and Trophy system.

Thank ******* you!!!!! I thought so but you guys couldn't just tell me that. Well, I thought we only did firmware stuff on Update days as in Thrusday? If it is a firmware update it probably will be up at midnight though! Can't wait!

Sony updates the Store on Thursday, but 90% of the FIRMWARE updates are on Tuesdays.

i still haven't gotten DMC4 is it longer than DMC3?
