It does look pretty damn good, and with the next gen consoles to work with, they won't have to tone down the game to port it from PC to console. Actually, I believe that BF: BC is going to be a console only game, I stand corrected on that though.

Yea it looks tight. Bit for those that bitch about noob tubes n shit all the time in cod, just watch a trailer for BC.
It is comming out for PC. The levels can be nowhere near as massive in a console game, its just not possible right now.
I just BF2 the other day cuz it was 10 bucks. Its still the most played game on-line in the world. More than cod4, more than halo 3. And I think even more than WoW...which is simply amazing especially considering that its like 3 years old I think.(1995?)
Anybody else ever play that shit tho ? I suck at it almost as bad as I do at sabotage or the new Turok.

You underestimate the power of the PS3 it could definitely support those massive levels. Especially considering the graphics aren't top notch. But that wasn't their intention to make a graphically superior game. As long as the physics and ballistics are perfect. That's another problem with CoD4, the ballistics are fubar. Not just the bullet penetration, there's a perk for that it doesn't count in my complaint about the bad ballistics lol. SOCOM claims to have a good ballistics system, so hopefully they're not lying.

personally i believe ballastics should be attainable with great graphics not being sacrificed. i think it definitely isn't the best looking game but it's way better than the previous battlefield.

The game looks like it could be a really great game, but I have my doubts. I have been fooled into games that have "Fully Destructible" boards before, and let me tell you, they SUCKED. One that comes to mind is the horrible game (IMO) Black. This game was really bad. So I will just have to wait and see more Trailers of this game before I make any solid decision.

Well I got to play the beta for about 2 hours today and I can give you my first impressions on it. There are 2 maps in the beta. I forget the names to them but I can give you guys a brief description of the levels. The first level I played was based on a forrest with a bunch of little houses. Theres a lot of terrain in the map. Hills, little mountains, one main street with a few branching off of it. The second map was based on a desert theme. Not to much cover in this map. Theres a few broken buildings but thats about it. Off to the west there is a little river with a bridge over it leading to a little island. This map is very open and has a lot of good hilly spots for snipers.

I can confirm that about 90% of the first level is destructable. I say 90% because for some odd reason all the houses that border the map cannot be shot down or damaged in any way. Everything inside the map is pretty much destructable. If the enemy is guarding the objective inside of a house, sneak around back and blow a whole in the wall. Simple as that. haha.

They only have one game mode in the beta which is a brand new mode called Gold Rush. There are 2 teams, one on defense and one on offense. The objective to the game is to either save or capture the gold stashes depending on what team you are on. There are 2 gold stashes to get started with and they are usually located in the middle of the map. Once the offensive team captures one of them, 2 more gold stashes spawn closer to the defensive teams base. So it gets harder and harder for the offensive team.

The vehicles are greatly improved from BF2: MC thank god. haha. They dont feel sluggish anymore. So far I have encountered hummers, tanks, light armor tanks, armored cars, and helicopters. I have not actually flew the helicopter yet since everyone rushes to them at the beginning of each game.

The player classes are bassically the same. You have your assault, recon, specialist, demo, and support but instead of having one weapon in each class, you have a ton of weapons now. At least 10 primary weapons for each class once you unlock them all. You start out with one weapon however for each class. To unlock weapons you need to earn badges. Some of the badges are "get 5 kills with..." Thats usually the easiest one to get. Then you get a token for that badge and on the main menu you click unlockables and with one token you get to unlock one gun and you choose. Pretty simple.

I think that covers most of it but if you guys have any questions feel free to ask and I can try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Sorry I havent posted here in a while I been really busy lately. Yeah everything is really a HUGE improvement from MC. The only issue I have with the game is that you cant go prone. You can only crouch and stand up. Kinda odd. I was perusing through the unlockable screen and it seems like you can purchase weapons through Xbox Live. When I go to a few of the weapons it says something like "In order to unlock this weapon, please go to Xbox Live Marketplace." Not sure if its gonna be the same way on PS3.

i think hats because late game peoples strategy was to abuse the prone system you were invincible for a few seconds

I just watched a Live Demo of this on gamespot.com and the DICE guy talked a little more about the buying weapons mechanic. He basically said that you can buy new weapons on Xbox Live and the PSN. Also, to avoid this, they are releasing 2 different versions od the game when it launches in June. You get the reglar edition for $60 and you can get a Platnium Edition for $70 which includes all of the guns that you can buy at launch over the PSN. I think this is a crook way of giving EA more money. But then again more and more games are becoming like this nowadays.

Heres the link to the Live Demo: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/battlefieldbadcompany/index.html?tag=login;dropdown

well, if they make a version with all the guns i'll buy it but if they make a platinum edition and still have more guns later i'm skipping this. i'm not going to buy a game and have to buy other weapons to have an even fight.

they should put em all in the platinum edition. if they can't do it in time give the platinum edition a free download credit for any that come out later. if they aren't stronger then why would anyone want to pay for em?
